Ridley Road Market has many street stalls as well as small local shops behind these. It started with only about 20 stalls in the 1880s but now has over 181 selling numerous different products including food, clothes, household items, books, music and jewellery.
Markets stalls are located in numbered squares marked out on the street and vary quite considerably in size. The market is busy and vibrant and sells a range of products from all over the world.
