Ania Bas is a collaborative artist - she works with people not canvas. Her practice is socially engaged and both research and production based. Bas explores the art of everyday life and involves everyday people in her work through investigating human connections with places. She has an inter-disciplinary practice which includes events, live art, text and publications. Bas' practice takes place in live environments rather than in a studio. She is a catalyst; a facilitator; a host; a service provider; a support structure.

Ania Bas was resident artist at The New Art Gallery Walsall, Whitechapel Gallery, London, Disonancias, Bilbao and Vestas Blades, Isle of Wight. She works nationally and internationally in a variety of settings. She cherishes unglamorous locations.
